Strengths
- Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 integrates directly with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, providing a collaboration platform using business information, reports, and other documents. GP utilizes remote access through the Business Portal to provide secure access to employees, partners, and customers via an Internet connection.
- It has automated notifications and approvals using streamlined workflows. Users can streamline purchase order processing (with automated approval routings tailored to actual business roles in the organization). Workflow functions include an audit trail of task ownership and actions to ensure compliance and accountability.
- There is a heavy use of role-based processing to maximize security of sensitive data and to tailor what users are authorized to do and see.

- With the release of Dynamics GP, the older Great Plains, Dynamics has fully evolved to be compatible across the Microsoft product line, called the Microsoft Stack.
